CHINMAYA VIDYALAYAS SCOUTS, GUIDES, CUBS AND BULBULS

 

We have Scouts, Guide, Cub and Bulbul units in all the Vidyalayas and more than 500 students are members.

Mission

Aim of the Scout, Guide, Cub and Bulbul of Chinmaya Vidyalayas, Thiruvananthapuram is to do the qualitative, quantitative and visibility way of work.

Qualitative Growth

More constructive work for Scout, Guide, Cub and Bulbul in School than the previous years.

To establish the model units.

To establish investiture ceremony for new students in September 2011.

To prepare more Scouts and Guides for Rajya Puraskar and Rashtrapathi awards.

To prepare Cubs and Bulbuls for Chathurtha Charan, Heerak pank, and golden arrow badges.

To participate Scout and Guides Units for the Prime Minister’s Shield competition.

To organise half yearly camps in the School level,To organise hykes  for the Scout, Guide ,Cub and
        Bulbul.

To avail complete co-operation of the teachers and principals for entire success of the work of Scout
         and Guide.

To Organise seminars for the Scout, Guide, Cub and Bulbul teachers by the Trust Officials in
        association with the district and state  level executives.

To organize meet for the parents of Scout, Guide, Cub and Bulbul students under the supervision of
         the Principal.

To utilize the good activities of the teachers of Scout, Guide, Cub and Bulbul in co-operation of
        the Principal.

To send new teachers for training where there is no Scout or Guide or Cub or Bulbul Unit.

To send higher course training to the unit leaders.  Eg: send Basic course leaders to advanced
         course and advanced course leaders to HWB course.

To give training to the Scouts and guides for getting the Badges of Pravesh, Pradama Sopan,
        Dwithiya Sopan, Thrithiya Sopan, Rajya Puraskar, Rastrapathi awards.  
       Availability of badges in time  may be done.

To utilize the service of the experts in first aid training.

To give awareness programme of the Traffic rules and provide opportunity for the traffic control.

To avail the participation of the unit leaders for the local, district, state and National level
         programmes.

Quantitative Growth

To start more units in each Vidyalaya.

To give training and appoint new teachers where there is no unit leaders under the supervision of             the Principal.

To make group committees in all units.

To ensure the participation of more students in local, district, state and National programme.

To start at least one unit of the Scout, Guide, Cub and Bulbul in each school.

Visibility

To celebrate national days and organise rallies.

To establish name board of the unit in each school.

To organize Scout/Guide Craft exhibition.

Participate the units in the Prime Minister’s Shield competition.

To promote school sanitation programme in all schools.

To organise cycle rallies.

To promote the social service activities by Scouts and Guides.

To organise tree plantation programme.

To make participation in social service activities in co-operation with other organisation.

To make participation in tobacco ban  programme.

To give training for assisting the disaster of the society.

To open library for the use of Scouts and Guides.  Utilize for the other units also.
